The Society of Visual Informatics (SOTVI) is an international scholarly organization that promotes collaboration among researchers, universities, and industry practitioners in visual informatics and applied information technology.

Our History

SOTVI began as a community around regional visual informatics conferences and now works with partner institutions in several countries to deliver open-access scholarly publishing and hybrid conferences.

• Mission: to manage open-access peer-reviewed journals, host international conferences, and deliver capacity-building programs for researchers.

What We Do

SOTVI runs a journal publication program (JOIV), conference proceedings (SOTVIA, AETECH, InCODE), collaborative research projects, and training programs in research methodology and academic writing.
